Personal Information. Certain users will choose to interact with RocketPost in ways that result in us gathering certain Personal Information (as defined below). For example, when you register as a user on RocketPost, you submit your name and email address, among other things. We also collect your user ID and password, which you create and provide to us as part of the registration process. The amount and type of information that we gather depends on the nature of the interaction and is always at the discretion of the user. We only collect information that we deem necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the user’s interaction with RocketPost. We do not disclose Personal Information other than as described below. Keep in mind that each user may refuse to supply Personal Information, with the caveat that it may prevent us from providing the RocketPost service.
Automatic Gathering of Information by Third Parties. When you visit our website, third parties can and may collect personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites pertaining to your visit to, or use of, our and others’ websites.
Do-Not-Track Requests. Do-not-track requests are typically made through web browser settings that control signals or other mechanisms that provide consumers the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about their online activities over time and across third-party websites or online services. We do not respond to do-not-track signals if enabled by the user.
How Your Personal Information is Used. We use your Personal Information to create and manage your user account and provide the RocketPost service to you, including the publishing of your job advertisements to third-party website(s). We also use your Personal Information to respond to your inquiries and/or requests and to call or otherwise contact you about important information regarding RocketPost. Additionally, your Personal Information can be used to manage your customer relationship and provide you with customer support.
Occasionally, we may send you surveys and marketing communications that we believe may be of interest to you. We may use your Personal Information to personalize your experience on RocketPost including by presenting advertising/display content and services tailored to you. From time to time, we may also present you with advertisements tailored to you on certain third-party websites.
The use of Personal Information may also allow you to participate in sweepstakes, contests, and similar promotions and to administer these activities. Please note that some of these activities may have additional rules, which could contain additional information about how we use and disclose your Personal Information, so we suggest that you read any such rules carefully.
Finally, we use your Personal Information for certain business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, developing new products, enhancing RocketPost, improving our services, identifying usage trends, determining and improving the effectiveness of our promotional and advertising campaigns, to comply with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, and for any other purpose about which we notify you.
Finally, we may also disclose your Personal Information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (a) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (d) to enforce or apply our agreements and our terms and conditions; (e) to protect our operations and employees and those of any of our affiliates; (f) to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (g) to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit any damages that we may sustain.
Your IP address is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user visits RocketPost, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) that were visited. Collecting IP addresses is standard practice on the Internet and is done automatically by many websites. We use IP addresses for purposes such as calculating usage levels, helping diagnose server problems, geographic mapping, and general administration of RocketPost.
Any ads appearing on RocketPost may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you.
Security. We use reasonable measures to protect any information we gather from our users. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage system can be guaranteed to be secure. If you have reason to believe that your information has been compromised, please notify us of the problem immediately by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How You Can Access, Change, or Have Your Personal Information Removed. If you would like to review, correct, update, suppress, delete, or otherwise limit our use of your Personal Information, or exercise any other data-related right available to you under applicable law, you may do so by emailing us at email@example.com or mailing us at 302 East Parent Avenue, Royal Oak, Michigan 48067. We will only implement such requests with respect to the information associated with the particular email address that you use to send us your request (or that you include in your mailed request), and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request.
In your request, please state your email address, what information you would like to have changed, and/or whether you would like to have your Personal Information removed from our records. We will comply with your request as soon as reasonably possible. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your Personal Information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so and why.
Use of Materials. You may not download, store, or output the materials on RocketPost. Any reproduction, transmission, performance, display, or editing of these materials by any means mechanical or electronic without our prior express written permission is strictly prohibited. Users wishing to obtain permission to reprint or reproduce any materials appearing on RocketPost may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Use by Minors. RocketPost is not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we request that such individuals do not provide Personal Information through RocketPost. If we learn that we have received personal information from an individual under the age of 13, we will delete that information as soon as possible.
